Hacienda Golf Club

TBD

Design & Visualization

Introduction

Hacienda Golf club is a 95-hectare proposal for an integrated resort community that weaves architecture, landscape and leisure into a single masterplan. Conceived as a low-density development immersed in the Yucatán countryside, it brings together 330 exclusive residences with full hotel services, a luxury hotel of 125 private villas, an 18-hole championship golf course and a vibrant town center with commercial, cultural and recreational spaces.

Role

At FORMM we were tasked with shaping the overall vision and spatial narrative of the development: from the territorial strategy and golf-front residential clusters to the hotel districts and town center spine. The goal is to ensure that every component feels like part of a single experience, where residents, guests and visitors move fluidly between nature, hospitality and community life.

Highlights

Masterplan & Landscape Integration

The layout follows the natural topography and existing vegetation, using green corridors, water features and fairways as the main structuring elements. Residential enclaves, hotel villas and public areas are nested within this landscape, maintaining generous buffers of jungle and open views across the golf course.

330 Branded Residences with Hotel Services

The residential component is organized in a series of curated neighborhoods, most with direct or framed views to fairways and water. Each home enjoys access to hotel-level services such as concierge, housekeeping options and amenities, combining the privacy of a residence with the comfort of a resort.

125-Villa Luxury Hotel

The hotel district is composed of 125 standalone villas surrounded by vegetation, water and golf views. The arrangement prioritizes privacy, short walking distances to amenities, and a strong sense of retreat, while still being directly connected to the town center and golf clubhouse.

18-Hole Golf Course as Green Backbone

The 18-hole course operates as the project’s main landscape spine, creating long visual corridors, prevailing breezes and continuous green edges. Fairways are used to separate different residential and hospitality clusters, ensuring both openness and acoustic privacy.

Town Center & Community Life

At the heart of the development lies a town center close to the access road that concentrates shops, cafés, restaurants, wellness spaces and recreational programs. This district is designed as a walkable, human-scale environment that becomes the social and cultural hub for residents and hotel guests alike.

Sustainability & Usability

The masterplan seeks to minimize land disturbance by clustering construction and preserving large tracts of existing vegetation as ecological buffers and wildlife corridors. Water-sensitive landscape strategies, potential use of renewable energy and efficient mobility routes are considered from the outset. Circulations are clear and legible for guests, residents and service operations, ensuring that the everyday use of the complex remains practical, safe and intuitive while maintaining a resort-level atmosphere.
